Material Disclaimer

All natural stones have inherent variation within each individual piece. Customer is made aware that Marble and Granite are products of nature and, as such, are subject to natural variations in color, surface texture, spotting, chipping, pitting and fissures. The unpredictable characteristics are what add to the natural beauty of the stone. Any questions the customer may have regarding the acceptability of materials must be presented and resolved prior to fabrication & installation of the product. “Miracle Marble” will not be responsible for material once the customer has approved it. The location of the seams at kitchen countertops may vary (see “Template”). Kitchen slab islands may have seems due to the various sizes. Honed granite and marble is more porous, and is more likely to stain (see Countertop Stone Care Tips).

The Process

Once you have a Job Confirmation, the countertop project goes through the production steps of templating, fabrication, tear out and installation. Tear out and installation occurs on the same day.

When we arrive for templating, we ask that you have cleared your countertops and keep the work area free of any objects. This will help us to finish the template efficiently, and will also protect your items from any dust or damage. Templates usually take from 30 min to a couple of hours.
If your drawing submitted for your quote differs from your actual job we will let you know at this time and adjust the price up or down accordingly. According to the grand total we are require a 50% deposite.
In the templating process, we make a pattern of your cabinets. During this phase:

  • All sinks/cooktops/faucets are checked for compatibility and fit (therefore all such units must be on-site at template).
  • Cabinets are reviewed for any adjustments required, as best can be determined.
  • Overhang, general support and any personal preferences are discussed. Any refinements needed to cabinetry, etc., which will be required prior to installation of your countertops will be discussed with you.
  • iSeam placement will be discussed.

During installation, your undermount sink(s), if applicable, will be mounted under your stone.

Below is a list of information we will ask for prior to the production process. We prefer to obtain all of this information/material at time of templating or very soon after.

  • Sinks (we will bring undermount sinks back to the shop)
  • Faucet make and model and placement
  • Cooktop/Range make and model; cutout dimensions; downdraft when applicable
  • Edge preference

Prior to fabrication, we encourage you to approve your slabs. We will ask that you review and give final approval of the Quote Checklist. It will take around 2 weeks to complete the installation after measurements are taken, so be sure to allow sufficient lead time for the project to be completed. If anything goes wrong during the fabrication process, or if the top is damaged and has to be replaced, that time will be extended.

If your project requires that we remove your existing countertops, we will do so at time of installation. We will also disconnect your plumbing at time of tear out, so be sure not to use your dishwasher until plumber has reconnected the water.

Please note that any delay in acquiring the accessories may also delay the installation, the countertop installer will not normally be responsible for connecting of dishwashers, cook tops, or plumbing, and no changes can be made once the installer takes his measurements and makes the template. All cuts are final; it is impossible to reattach a piece of granite that has been cut from the slab. Additionally, once the granite is glued in place on the cabinets, moving it is very difficult and risks damaging the cabinets.

The installation phase can take the better part of a day; and can require some final cutouts to be made in your home. The Customer has to provide a window of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in which to install the material. At installation, we ask that you also clear the work area of any objects and clear a path for the installers to carry the granite. Please keep in mind that this is a major remodeling job, there may be some residual dust over the next couple of days.

Your inspection of the finished job is very important. The lead installer will review the installation with you, answer any questions you may have and ask for payment of the final balance due for your project.
